About me

I'm Carolyn Ly, a multi-disciplinary product designer at IBM with 5+ years of industry experience.

✨ Fun Facts: I'm learning 3D rendering and animation in Spline. I like to collect antiques, watch horror movies, and do HCI research related to social justice.

my

I started my career as a data scientist at IBM. I recognized gaps between technical solutions and user needs, which sparked my shift to UX design and research. Today, I work as a multi-disciplinary designer, crafting data and AI-based experiences that streamline human workflows and business operations.

I went on to complete a Master of Information at the University of Toronto, building on a Math & Statistics degree from McMaster University. I have an upcoming presentation for the CSCW conference in late October 2025.
